About Me

Nina Cherry's background is in journalism, graphic design, education, and film. They spent six years as a senior visual designer making conversion-focused, immersive, and award-winning creative. Recently, they have expanded into film and television, working with Eastlink Community TV, the Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival, and the Atlantic Independent Filmmakers Festival.
As a nonbinary femme, queer creative, they are interested in exploring liminality and nuance within their work. Growing up with one foot on land and one in the ocean, they feel happiest when exploring the tethers and connections between art, beauty, community, nature, healing, the seen and unseen, and everything in between.
